श्री राष्ट्रिय माध्यमिक विद्यालय, सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशको कञ्चनपुर जिल्लाको पुनर्वास नगरपालिका वडा नं. ९ को मध्यभागमा अवस्थित एक आदर्श ज्ञान केन्द्रको रूपमा परिचित छ। नेपालको पहाडी भेगबाट रोजगारीको खोजीमा भारत गएका केही व्यक्तिहरूले वि.सं. २०२४ को प्रारम्भिक दिनहरूमा यहाँ बसोबास गर्न थालेको कुरा स्थानीय बयोवृद्ध नागरिकहरूको भनाइबाट स्पष्ट हुन्छ। बिस्तारै, वि.सं. २०२६/०२७ तिर जनसंख्या तीव्र रूपमा वृद्धि भई यो क्षेत्र घना बस्तीमा परिणत भयो। यससँगै, बालबालिकाहरूको उज्ज्वल भविष्यका लागि गुणस्तरीय शिक्षाको आवश्यकता झनै टट्कारो रूपमा देखापर्यो। यही पृष्ठभूमिमा समर्पित अग्रजहरूको दूरदृष्टि र शिक्षाप्रतिको अटुट विश्वासका कारण वि.सं. २०२८ साल पुस ७ गते विद्यालयको स्थापना गरियो। विद्यालयको सुरुआती दिनहरू चुनौतीपूर्ण भए तापनि, शिक्षाका लागि समर्पित ती अग्रजहरूले समाजमा ज्ञानको उज्यालो फैलाउन शिक्षा प्रतिष्ठानको महत्त्वपूर्ण जग बसाले। विद्यालयले सुधार र प्रगतिको बाटो अवलम्बन गर्दै वि.सं. २०३८ सालमा खरको छानाबाट जस्तापाताले छाएको तीन कोठे पक्की भवनमा परिवर्तन भयो। वि.सं. २०४५ सालमा विद्यालयले कक्षा ५ सम्मका लागि आधिकारिक रूपमा दुई शिक्षक दरबन्दी पाउन सफल भयो, जसले आधारभूत शिक्षा संरचनालाई सुदृढ बनायो। यस क्षेत्रको जनसंख्या वृद्धिसँगै, विद्यालय वि.सं. २०५६ सालमा निम्न माध्यमिक तह र वि.सं. २०६५ सालमा माध्यमिक तहमा स्तरोन्नति भई अगाडि बढ्यो, जसले संस्थाको दृढ संकल्प र निरन्तर प्रगतिको प्रमाण प्रस्तुत गर्दछ।
विद्यालयले सीमित स्रोत-साधनको अधिकतम उपयोग गर्दै यस क्षेत्रमा शिक्षाको ज्योति फैलाइरहेको छ। आधा शताब्दीभन्दा लामो ऐतिहासिक यात्रामा विभिन्न आरोह-अवरोह पार गर्दै आएको यो विद्यालय आज शिक्षाको एक प्रेरणादायी उदाहरणका रूपमा उभिएको छ।तर, पछिल्लो एक दशकयता अपेक्षित उचाइ अनुसार भौतिक पूर्वाधार र शैक्षिक गुणस्तरमा केही कमजोरीहरू देखिएकोले सुधारका लागि योजनाबद्ध र संगठित प्रयासहरु भइरहेकाछन्। विद्यालय स्थापनाको लामो समायान्तरलाई मध्यनजर गर्दै माध्यमिक तहको कक्षा ११ र १२ सञ्चालनार्थ अथक प्रयासहरु भइरहेकैछन् । उक्त कार्यलाई सार्थक तुल्याउन सबै सरोकारवाला व्यक्ति तथा निकायले ध्यान दिनेमा हामी विश्वस्त छौँ। हाम्रो प्रमुख उद्देश्य भनेको समयानुकूल, वैज्ञानिक, व्यावसायिक तथा जनमुखी शिक्षाको प्रवर्द्धन गर्दै गाउँमुखी समाज निर्माण गर्नु हो। विद्यालयको भौतिक पूर्वाधार तथा शैक्षिक गुणस्तरलाई सुधार गर्दै शिक्षालाई प्रविधिमैत्री र अनुसन्धानमूलक बनाउन दीर्घकालीन योजनाहरू कार्यान्वयन गरिरहेका छौँ।
हामी प्रतिबद्ध छौँ कि यस विद्यालयलाई उत्कृष्ट शैक्षिक केन्द्रका रूपमा विकास गरी गरिब तथा मेहनती विद्यार्थीहरूलाई छात्रवृत्तिजस्ता अवसर उपलब्ध गराउँछौँ। पुनर्वास नगरपालिकाको सबैभन्दा लोकप्रिय ज्ञान केन्द्रका रूपमा यस विद्यालयलाई नयाँ उचाइमा पुर्याउने हाम्रो अठोट दृढ छ। यस यात्रामा सबै सरोकारवालाहरूको सहयोग रहनेमा पूर्ण विश्वास छ। अन्त्यमा, विद्यालय व्यवस्थापन समिति, शिक्षक-अभिभावक संघ, सम्पूर्ण विद्यालय परिवार, अभिभावक, विद्यार्थी समुदाय तथा शिक्षा क्षेत्रका सबै सहयोगी मनहरूलाई हार्दिक धन्यवाद ज्ञापन गर्दछु। साथै, अध्ययनरत विद्यार्थीहरूलाई उज्ज्वल भविष्यको शुभकामना व्यक्त गर्दछु। धन्यवाद।
Shree Rastriya Secondary School, located in the central part of Ward No. 9, Punarbas Municipality, Kanchanpur District, Sudurpashchim Province, is known as an ideal center of knowledge. Based on the accounts of local senior citizens, it is evident that some individuals who had gone to India from the hilly regions of Nepal in search of employment began settling here in the early days of 2024 B.S. Gradually, around 2026/027 B.S., the population grew rapidly, transforming this area into a dense settlement. Along with this, the need for quality education for the bright future of children became even more pressing. Against this backdrop, owing to the vision and unwavering belief in education of dedicated elders, the school was established on Paush 7, 2028 B.S. Although the school's early days were challenging, those dedicated pioneers laid a crucial foundation for an educational institution to spread the light of knowledge in society.
Embracing the path of improvement and progress, the school transitioned in 2038 B.S. from a thatched-roof structure to a three-room permanent building roofed with corrugated tin sheets. In 2045 B.S., the school successfully secured two official teacher positions up to Grade 5, strengthening its basic education structure. As the area's population grew, the school moved forward by upgrading to the lower secondary level in 2056 B.S. and to the secondary level in 2065 B.S., standing as proof of the institution's firm resolve and continuous progress.
The school has been spreading the light of education in this region by making maximum use of its limited resources. Having weathered various ups and downs over a historical journey of more than half a century, this school stands today as an inspiring example of education. However, as certain shortcomings in physical infrastructure and educational quality relative to expected heights have emerged over the past decade, planned and organized efforts are underway for improvement. Considering the long timeframe since the school's establishment, tireless efforts are being made to run Grades 11 and 12 at the secondary level. We are confident that all stakeholders and concerned authorities will pay attention to make this endeavor meaningful.
Our primary objective is to build a village-oriented society by promoting modern, scientific, vocational, and public-oriented education. While improving the physical infrastructure and educational quality of the school, we are implementing long-term plans to make education technology-friendly and research-oriented.
We are committed to developing this school into an excellent educational center and providing opportunities such as scholarships to hardworking and underprivileged students. We hold a firm resolve to elevate this school to new heights as the most popular knowledge center in Punarbas Municipality. We fully believe that we will have the support of all stakeholders in this journey. Finally, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the School Management Committee, Teacher-Parent Association, the entire school family, parents, student community, and all supportive minds in the field of education. Furthermore, I wish the enrolled students a bright future.
